The FullCircle Project

We are innately drawn to the mountains as skiers and riders. With a mentality similar to ours at Alpine Initiatives, Matt Philippi, Aidan Haley, Jack Tolan, Taylor Felton, Caleb Braley, Dan Marion, and Michael Brown, co-founders and members of the FullCircle Project team followed their love for the mountains and professional skiing careers to South America. It was there they decided, in the wake of the February 2010 earthquake and subsequent tsunami in Chile, that it was time to lend a hand. In August of 2010, the team joined with Un Techo Para Chile, a local NGO, to construct a kindergarten and playground in a displaced housing community near Concepcion, Chile.

Following their incredible experience in Chile, the crew knew engaging with a local community was something they wanted to replicate. In the summer of 2011, the FullCircle Project returned to the Andes to assist in setting up a large-scale sustainable fruit-tree agricultural project in Maras, Peru. The goal of this project was developing economic self reliance for the community of Maras, by creating a cooperative owned orchard that will supply steady income for the community.

We are excited with what's in store for The FullCircle Project and invite you to follow along the journey as this group of skiers engages in their service projects, working with the indigenous communities that call the mountains their home.
